Safety and Comfort When Working at Hives

Beekeeper safety is always a priority. The jacket is equipped with a removable hat with mesh that ensures good visibility while protecting the face. Double mesh lining and double hoops in the hat keep the mesh at a safe distance from the face, minimizing the risk of stings. The zipper around the hat is additionally covered with a flap with velcro in the neck area, which helps prevent unwanted entry of bees under the garment.

Key Features and Practical Details

The jacket is made from a proven blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This material is strong, holds its shape well and at the same time remains sufficiently lightweight for work during the season. Quality seams and a reliable main zipper are ready for frequent use. You'll appreciate the practical pockets when handling tools: two spacious pockets in the abdomen area for larger equipment and a smaller pocket on the left chest side for small items. Both sleeves and the bottom hem are finished with elastic drawstrings that help seal the jacket and increase protection.

Easy Maintenance

Maintenance is simple and adapted to regular beekeeping operations. After detaching the hat, the jacket can be machine washed up to 60°C. It can be tumble dried on low speed and ironed up to 150°C (ideally through a thin cloth or with steam). Do not bleach. The hat requires more gentle handling – hand washing at 40–60°C is recommended (or machine washing in a protective mesh bag), without wringing and spinning. Dry the hat hanging freely and away from direct sunlight.
