OPTIMA hive boxs are affordably priced and compatible with the standard Lyson hive system. The super is designed for self-assembly, which helps save storage space before assembly. Assembling OPTIMA hive boxs is very simple thanks to the intuitive arrangement of components.

High-density polystyrene provides excellent insulation while keeping the hives lightweight, which is very important for mobile apiaries. Bee colonies overwinter well and develop very well in these hives. It's always important to ensure good ventilation.

For this purpose, openings are manufactured in hive components such as the super, roof, or bottom board, which are secured with ventilation plugs with screens (to prevent pests from entering the hive) or closed with covers (e.g., polystyrene).

Proper ventilation is also ensured by the hygienic plastic bottom board, which is included with this hive model. Additionally, it allows monitoring of varroa mite spread in colonies and is resistant to weather conditions and browsing. Easy cleaning and disinfection are other very important advantages of the bottom board.
