FormicPro 68.2 g strips for beehives for bees from the Canadian company NOD with formic acid as the active ingredient. In the Czech Republic, it is registered as a reserved veterinary medicinal product, so a veterinary prescription is not required.
Formicpro represents an effective natural-based solution designed for reliable control of the Varroa destructor mite in bee colonies. Each strip contains 68.2 g of formic acid (Acidum formicum) in gel form wrapped in biodegradable laminated paper. This material functions as a wick in the hive, releasing the active substance in a controlled manner throughout the treatment period.
Use 1 sachet (2 strips) per colony. The strips are placed flat in the lower brood chamber on top of the frames. Do not remove the paper wrapper from the strips! Application period is 7 days, after which the strips can be removed or left until the next honey super is placed. Repeat treatment cycle possible after at least one month.
Store in the original packaging in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, out of reach of children. Color changes of the strips during storage do not affect their effectiveness.
Various package sizes are available, each containing a practical resealable plastic insert:
