InstantVap 18V Turbo: Fast and Efficient Sublimation for Demanding Beekeepers
Want to speed up hive treatment and have maximum freedom when working in the apiary? InstantVap 18V Turbo is a powerful battery-powered sublimator designed for intensive operation and frequent movement between hives. Thanks to 18V battery power, you work without cables and without the need for an external power source. Durable construction made of stainless steel withstands beekeeping conditions well and the device stands stably wherever you place it.
Operating comfort is ensured by dynamic temperature control and improved dosing. The thermally insulated dispenser helps maintain stable operation even in colder weather and allows easy adjustment of substance quantity in the range of 1–4 g without using tools. A practical feature is also the robust brass outlet tube with a diameter of 6 mm in straight design – without unnecessary bends that can increase the risk of clogging. If needed, the tube can be easily cleaned along its entire length.
How Does Turbo Differ from Previous Versions?
The Turbo variant is built for speed. Compared to Compact/Original versions, it offers a more powerful heating element with 400 W power input, allowing it to quickly reach operating temperature. In practice, this means that sublimation of a 2 g dose can take approximately 10 seconds (at 260 °C). The clear LED display shows current temperature, battery voltage, number of cycles, and any warnings. For experienced beekeepers, the ability to adjust operating parameters according to their own procedures and conditions at the apiary site is an advantage.
Temperature 260 °C: Speed and Process Purity
The manufacturer based their design on tests focused on the behavior of sublimated substance at various temperatures to find a compromise between evaporation speed and maintaining chemical stability.
Why work at exactly 260 °C?
- High yield: At 260 °C, the vapors have a high proportion of active ingredient (up to 73%), which supports the desired treatment effect.
- Cleaner sublimation: In this mode, degradation to unwanted by-products is limited. At higher temperatures (e.g., 290 °C), efficiency can drop to as low as 39% while the proportion of "waste" increases.
- Time saving: While evaporation at 230 °C can take around 25 seconds, at 260 °C it shortens to approximately 10 seconds – a significant time saving when treating a larger number of hives.
Power Supply and Compatibility
The device operates with 18/20 V voltage (depending on battery used). To protect the battery, InstantVap is equipped with deep discharge protection circuit – when voltage drops to 15.4 V, automatic shutdown occurs. The device is supplied as standard with a socket for ParkSide 18V batteries.
Using battery tools from another brand? You can use an adapter or choose a variant designed directly for your battery system (e.g., Makita, Dewalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, Metabo, and others – according to specifications). Battery and charger are not included in the package.
