Simplify and speed up feeding your bee colonies with this original division board feeder imported from the USA. The black plastic feeder is designed for the Langstroth deep hive body system (super height 232 mm). It replaces two frames in width, offering a generous capacity of 6.3 l. In practice, this means less frequent refilling and more peace of mind, especially during the intensive fall feeding period.

When you'll find it most useful

You will appreciate its greatest benefit during the fall feeding of production colonies with sugar syrup, when larger quantities of stores need to be provided safely and without unnecessary hive disturbances. The feeder is also excellent for feeding newly hived swarms and shook swarms, helping them develop more quickly. For nucleus colonies, we recommend using fondant or sugar-honey paste instead, which promotes gradual and steady energy intake.

Safe and practical design

The interior surface is textured to give bees better grip and allow them to move around the feeder more easily. Nevertheless, based on practical experience, we recommend adding a float (e.g., two wooden strips) to the feeder, especially for weaker colonies and nucleus colonies. This reduces the risk of bee drowning and increases feeding safety.

Recommended use and syrup preparation

For effective feeding, a sugar syrup ratio of 3:2 (sugar:water) has proven to work well. Bees readily accept it, process it quickly, and store it as reserves. The feeder is lightweight (353 g) yet sturdy enough for regular handling, even when filled to full capacity.
