How to Recognize Quality Honey and Why It Crystallizes

Quality mature honey is not watery – it shouldn't "slosh" in the container. When tilted, it pours slowly and forms typical "knots" during bottling. Crystallization is also a natural property of honey, which doesn't mean deterioration in quality or loss of value. The crystallization rate is influenced by the ratio of fructose to glucose: flower honeys typically crystallize earlier, while forest (honeydew) honeys remain liquid longer.

If you need to gently liquefy honey, it can be gradually warmed in this container in a water bath up to 45 °C (PET safely withstands this temperature range). For honey storage, we recommend a dry and dark place with a temperature ideally up to 15 °C.
