Stainless steel grafting tool for queen larvae, for the coloring of future queen to queen cell, Metal grafting tool with stainless steel needle.
Professional beekeeping metal grafting tool, for grafting future queens into cups, queen cells, etc. Professional metal grafting tool with stainless steel needle. Grafting is the most common method by which a beekeeper ensures the rearing of a future queen from a larva of our choice. Try a quality grafting tool from a German supplier. We have two variants to choose from: yellow for right-handed and green for left-handed.
Successful queen rearing begins with flawless transfer of the larva. This tool is designed to make the beekeeper's work as easy as possible and protect the delicate embryo from damage. The solid metal handle is equipped with distinctive grooving (anti-slip texture). This guarantees you a firm and secure grip even if your hands are covered with honey or propolis, or if you are working in protective gloves. The distinctive yellow color also ensures that you can easily and quickly find the tool if you put it down in the grass or on the hive roof.
The specially shaped stainless steel needle with a flat, gently curved tip is adapted to the anatomy of the bee worker cell. The correct angle of curvature, which in this yellow variant is optimized specifically for right-handed users, allows natural and easy picking up of the larva along with the bed of royal jelly. This minimizes larva stress and dramatically increases the percentage of successfully accepted queen cells. The stainless steel tip guarantees long life, easy sterilization and high hygiene, which is absolutely crucial for healthy queen rearing.
For best results, select the youngest larvae when grafting – ideally 12 to 24 hours old from hatching from the egg (the larva is tiny and has the shape of a slightly curved crescent). We recommend warming the tool slightly to hive temperature before use or lightly moistening its tip with diluted royal jelly. This way the larva will not stick to the metal and will slide very easily into the prepared artificial queen cell cup.
