Microcrystalline structure that bees readily accept

The advantage of APIVITAL fondant is its microcrystalline structure – the feed mass consists of very fine sucrose microcrystals (approx. 0.01 mm) suspended in syrup. The syrup prevents the crystals from fusing together, so the fondant does not harden in the hive, remains pliable, and bees can easily consume it. In practice, this means smoother feed intake, less waste, and less strain on the colony during a period when every bit of energy savings matters.

When APIVITAL fondant will be most useful to you

Fondant is a versatile aid for various stages of the season. It provides the greatest benefit in the following situations:

1) Late winter and spring stimulative feeding: When temperatures are low and bees cannot regularly fly out to collect water, feeding syrup is often unsuitable. Fondant contains water in a bound form, and bees can consume it directly from the top bars even in cooler weather. By providing feed, you also simulate an incoming nectar flow, thereby promoting colony development and steady brood rearing.

2) Feeding nucs and queen management: When making nucs, fondant is practical and safe – it typically provokes less robbing than liquid feed. It is also suitable for filling queen introduction cages when introducing or requeening.

3) Dearth periods: When the nectar flow suddenly stops, fondant can serve as a quick "insurance" to maintain colony condition and smooth operation in the hive.

APIVITAL fondant does not flow at hive temperature, so it is comfortable and clean to work with. You don't need to worry about feed dripping onto the brood or unnecessarily soiling the inside of the hive. Application is easy: divide the fondant as needed (by cutting off a portion of the block or slitting the wrapper) and place it on the top bars of the frames under the hive cover. No cooking, no mixing, no unnecessary extra work.
