For beekeepers, it is essential to choose bait that will not attract bees. When using fermented bait, the trap specifically attracts mainly wasps and hornets. This helps reduce predator pressure and robbing attacks around hives, especially during periods when colonies are more vulnerable. It works equally well by pergolas, on terraces or balconies, where annoying insects can make any gathering unpleasant. Practical tip: Proven bait is approximately 150 ml of beer or diluted apple vinegar, supplemented with a little sugar or fruit juice. A simple rule applies – never put honey or pure sugar water in the trap, to avoid unnecessarily attracting your own bees.

Easy Placement and Long Season of Use

The larger design of the trap allows flexible installation as needed. Thanks to the flat base, you can place it stably on a solid surface, and at the same time it has a practical loop in the screw cap for hanging (e.g., in branches, on a pergola or balcony). A sunny location is suitable because heat accelerates fermentation of the bait and thus increases its attractiveness. The trap is ideal for use from spring to late autumn, and for consistently high effectiveness we recommend changing the bait regularly. Use only in outdoor environments.
