The tank is made from premium food-grade stainless steel. The heavy-gauge stainless steel sheet with a thickness of 0.8 to 1 mm ensures high strength, long service life and resistance to denting even with frequent use during the season. Joints are smoothly finished using plasma welding technology, and the polished surface on both the exterior and interior minimizes honey adhesion. This makes the tank easy to clean and meets the highest hygiene standards for working with honey.

Convenient honey bottling without unnecessary losses

One of the key advantages of the MaxiLine series is the specially sloped bottom. Honey naturally flows towards the honey gate, eliminating the need to tilt, prop up or laboriously reposition the heavy tank towards the end of bottling. The sloped design facilitates emptying the tank down to virtually the last drop, saving time and physical effort and contributing to a smoother workflow when filling jars. For safe handling, the tank is equipped with sturdy stainless steel handles.

The tank includes a sealing lid with a silicone gasket that protects honey from airborne moisture, dust, contaminants and foreign odors. The lid is secured to the tank with metal clamping clips, so it holds firmly even during handling. A quality seal is very important for honey because honey is hygroscopic and readily absorbs moisture from the surrounding air. For even more precise dosing, the honey gate can be supplemented with dispensing valves, such as guillotine valves, which mount directly onto the stainless steel honey gate.

Option to expand into a practical settling tank setup

The Mellarius tank is designed as a versatile system that can be adapted to your beekeeping workflow. Precisely fitting stainless steel strainers are available for the tanks in three mesh grades: coarse, fine and ultra fine. The strainers can be combined as needed to create an effective filtration setup for capturing wax particles and other impurities.

With the addition of a special conical strainer, the tank can also serve as a settling tank. Honey can more effectively rid itself of fine wax residues and air bubbles that form during extracting and further processing after the honey harvest. For more comfortable work, we recommend complementing the tank with an original Mellarius stainless steel stand.
