A bee brush is a soft bristled brush that can be used to gently, and harmlessly, remove bees from a surface. The bee brush is best used in small scale to move fewer bees per session, if the desired goal is to move bees quickly, in quantity the bee blower may be the proper tool. Bee brushes are made with long, soft, non-ridged bristles, which are gentle enough for moving bees off of delicate comb and firm enough to remove bees from old frames, equipment or the beekeeper. When used properly, a bee brush will not injure bees.
Large Bee Brush with Soft Bristles – German Quality
Need a reliable tool for honey harvesting and everyday work in the hive? This large bee brush with a sturdy yellow handle is designed for beekeepers who want to work quickly, cleanly, and above all gently. It is a proven design from a German manufacturer that combines durable materials with precise craftsmanship. The brush makes it easy to sweep bees off honeycomb frames before extracting and helps minimize unnecessary disturbance to the colony.
Gentle Sweeping Without Damaging the Combs
The key advantage is the approx. 5 cm long bristles made of soft white nylon. Compared to stiffer brushes, these synthetic bristles are gentler on the bees while also not damaging wax cappings or the surface of the combs. With a sweeping width of approximately 31 cm (set in 33 rows/tufts), you can cover a large portion of a frame in a single stroke, which significantly speeds up the work during honey harvesting, when every minute counts.
Easy Hygiene and Maintenance
In beekeeping, cleanliness is essential. A practical bonus of this bee brush is that it is dishwasher safe. The plastic handle and synthetic bristles withstand higher temperatures well, so you can easily clean the tool of honey residue, propolis, and other impurities after use. The robust handle also fits comfortably in the hand and provides a secure grip even when wearing gloves.
