Double Tin-Plated Honey Strainer with Handles for Clean Filtering
After extracting honey in a honey extractor, it is necessary to remove small impurities that may get into it during uncapping and processing of combs. The double tin-plated strainer helps catch remnants of wax cappings, comb particles, and other unwanted contaminants so that the honey is clean and visually high-quality before bottling into jars.
Two-stage honey filtering in one tool
The strainer uses two sieves with different mesh sizes. The upper convex sieve with a 2 x 2 mm mesh catches larger impurities and, thanks to its shape, offers a larger filtering surface. Honey thus flows through more smoothly and the strainer clogs less quickly. The lower flat sieve with a finer 1 x 1 mm mesh then further purifies the honey and helps achieve a smooth, clean result suitable for further processing or bottling.
Durable tin-plated construction
The strainer is made from steel sheet with galvanic tin plating. Tin is suitable for food contact and also resists corrosion, moisture, and organic acids that are naturally present in honey. This makes the strainer a practical tool for the honey house that, with proper care, will serve for many beekeeping seasons.
Stability during work in the honey house
The strainer is equipped with handles and a wire hook for convenient placement on a container beneath the honey extractor. It is particularly suitable for honey containers with a capacity of 14 kg and similar diameters. The firm attachment of the metal mesh in the rim ensures good stability even when straining thicker honey, so the strainer is easy to handle and stays securely in place.

Tip for proper maintenance
After use, rinse the strainer with lukewarm water as soon as possible to prevent honey residues from drying in the mesh. Do not use excessively hot water, which can melt wax and clog the fine mesh openings. After washing, let the strainer dry thoroughly and store it in a dry place to maintain its properties over the long term.
