The Dadant Blatt supered hive made of polystyrene is light and handy, all its parts fit together well. Expanding the space for the bee colony is done by adding supers on top of each other, which gives practically unlimited possibilities in managing colony development and honey production.

The polystyrene hive allows maintaining colony hygiene at a high level. Supers, roofs or bottom boards are completely "molded," so they have no crevices where pests and parasites could hide or that would present a problem during cleaning or disinfection.

Polystyrene does not deform and maintains its properties for many years.

The high hygienic (varroa) bottom board serves not only as an important element for proper air circulation inside the hive, which is very important for polystyrene hives, but also allows for determining the level of varroa mite infestation in the colony.
