During periods of strong building instinct, bees can quickly build "wild comb" in the empty space of a deep bottom board, often including drone comb. Removing it takes time, unnecessarily disturbs the colony, and tearing the comb can cause honey to leak onto the hive bottom. With the barrier, you maintain a clean and organized space in the hive, bees concentrate their building into prepared frames, and you significantly facilitate regular inspections and work throughout the season.
Natural Material and Simple Handling
The barrier is made of solid wood - a natural material suitable for the hive environment that does not disturb the microclimate in the hive. Use is quick: during spring development, simply insert it into the deep bottom board under the brood chamber. After the season, easily remove it, clean it with a hive tool from any propolis, and store it for the next year.
