The tank includes a sealing lid with a silicone gasket and sturdy clamp hooks for a tight seal against the tank body. This keeps honey well protected from air moisture, dust, odors, and insects, while reducing the risk of spillage during handling or transport. Empty tanks can also be easily stacked, saving space in the beekeeping workshop, honey house, or storage room.

Quality Construction and Long Service Life

Mellarius ProLine honey tanks are made from food-grade 304 stainless steel with a sheet thickness of 0.8 mm. The solid material helps prevent denting during regular use and handling. Joints are precisely welded using modern plasma welding, ensuring the tank forms a solid and hygienic unit free of unwanted micro-pores. The polished stainless steel surface, both inside and out, is smooth, reduces honey residue adhesion, and significantly facilitates cleaning. For convenient carrying, the tank is equipped with two heavy-duty stainless steel handles.

Honey Straining and Filtering Option

The tank lid is designed as a sealing cover with a durable silicone gasket. Stainless steel strainers are also available for the tanks, fitting precisely onto the upper rim of the tank. This allows the tank to be used for cleaning and straining honey before further processing or bottling. We offer strainers in three mesh grades – coarse, fine, and ultra-fine. They can be combined with each other to create a practical cascade filtration system according to the desired honey purity.
