Tangential three-frame honey extractor Mellarius MaxiLine 110 W – a quality solution for comfortable honey harvesting

Do you need a reliable honey extractor that speeds up honey extraction while saving you effort and time during the season? The tangential three-frame honey extractor Mellarius MaxiLine with electric drive is designed for beekeepers who want to work efficiently during honey harvesting, gently on combs, and with the assurance of quality results. It combines a solid stainless steel construction, well-thought-out technical design, and easy maintenance. This makes it suitable for both hobby beekeepers and smaller beekeeping operations that appreciate long service life and convenient operation.

Quality craftsmanship of the MaxiLine range: a honey extractor for many years of use

Mellarius MaxiLine honey extractors are among the solidly crafted beekeeping equipment with an emphasis on durability and hygiene. Compared to standard economy models, they are made from reinforced stainless steel with a thickness of 0.8 to 1 mm, which resists denting and normal mechanical stress during operation. Joints are made using plasma welding technology, which ensures the inner surface of the drum is smooth, without sharp edges or unnecessary gaps. This significantly facilitates cleaning after extraction and reduces the buildup of wax or honey residues. The stainless steel used is food-grade approved, so the honey remains clean and safely processed.

Conical bottom: honey flows directly to the honey gate

During honey harvesting, it is important to get as much honey out of the extractor as possible without unnecessary handling. The drums of the Mellarius MaxiLine range are therefore equipped with a conical, sloped bottom that naturally guides honey toward the lowest point. This is precisely where the welded stainless steel honey gate with a guillotine valve is located. Thanks to gravity, honey flows smoothly into the prepared container, and there is no need to tilt the heavy extractor or handle it in complicated ways. This solution helps to make the most of the yield from the combs.

Electric drive with speed control and reversible rotation

The honey extractor is equipped with a 110 W electric motor powered by a standard 230 V mains supply. The motor has its own built-in fan, which aids cooling even during extended work on hot summer days. A mechanical gearbox allows smooth manual speed control, so you can adjust the extraction speed to suit the honey viscosity, the age of the comb, and the strength of the combs. A practical advantage is the reversible basket rotation. Bees build cells with a slight upward tilt of approximately 4° to 5° to prevent stores from flowing out on their own. Reversing the direction of rotation therefore helps extract honey in the appropriate direction relative to the cell angle and achieve very thorough emptying of the combs.

Gentle basket and quick cleaning after extraction

The extractor basket is made from sturdy round bars resistant to twisting and fitted with a dense stainless steel wire mesh. The centrifugal force is thus distributed more evenly across the comb surface during extraction, reducing the risk of damaging the beeswax comb. Drawn combs remain gently extracted and ready for reuse in the hive. After finishing work, you will appreciate the simple disassembly. The upper clamping bar with the drive and plexiglass covers is secured with just two star knob screws. Once removed, both the motor and the basket can be taken out; the basket rests on a ball bearing at the bottom. Cleaning the drum, basket, and internal parts of the extractor is therefore quick and convenient.

Stable legs and practical storage during the off-season

The heavy-duty legs of the honey extractor are designed to distribute the weight of the unit effectively and ensure stability even at higher speeds or with slightly unbalanced frame loads. The solid construction helps keep the extractor steady during extraction and contributes to safe operation. At the end of the season, the legs can be easily removed, so the extractor takes up less space when stored in the bee house, storage room, or home workshop.

Key advantages of the honey extractor in practice

1. Efficient honey drainage: the conical bottom with a honey gate at the lowest point allows convenient honey discharge without tilting the extractor.
2. Gentle comb extraction: the dense stainless steel wire mesh of the basket helps protect drawn combs, including younger or more delicate beeswax comb.
3. Easy storage: removable legs reduce the space needed to store the extractor during the off-season.
4. Quick maintenance: the detachable drive and removable basket facilitate thorough cleaning after honey harvesting.
5. Convenient electric operation: the 110 W motor with cooling, speed control, and reversible rotation provides smooth extraction without unnecessary physical effort.

Distribution note: The honey extractors come from official German distribution. Depending on current stock availability, the legs may be supplied in black or grey finish, and the motor cover in blue, red, or white colour.
