Tangential four-frame honey extractor Mellarius MaxiLine with manual drive for comfortable honey harvesting

Do you need a durable honey extractor that makes honey extraction easier, helps get the maximum yield from your combs, and will reliably serve for many seasons? The manual tangential honey extractor Mellarius MaxiLine for 4 frames is a practical choice for hobbyist and more experienced beekeepers alike. Quality construction from polished food-grade stainless steel, a stable design, and well-thought-out details make it a reliable helper for any honey house. It handles beeswax comb gently, saves time during extraction, and simplifies subsequent maintenance.

About Mellarius MaxiLine honey extractors

Mellarius MaxiLine honey extractors are among the quality equipment for beekeepers who expect strength, long service life, and convenient operation. Compared to standard honey extractors, they are manufactured from reinforced stainless steel sheets with a thickness of 0.8 to 1 mm and fitted with heavy-duty legs for greater stability during honey extraction. An important advantage is also the specially shaped sloped bottom, thanks to which honey naturally flows down to the honey gate. At the end of extraction, there is no need to lift or tilt the extractor.

Design engineered for hygienic honey processing

The Mellarius MaxiLine range is designed with an emphasis on cleanliness, durability, and easy washing. The extractor drum is made from certified food-grade stainless steel with an above-standard thickness that resists denting and normal mechanical stress. Plasma welding is used during manufacturing, resulting in smooth interior surfaces and clean joints without sharp spots where honey, wax, or debris residues could accumulate.

The stainless steel basket is formed by a densely woven mesh and reinforced with circular rods resistant to twisting. The dense mesh helps distribute centrifugal force evenly across the comb surface, so the wires do not cut into the wax and the combs are not unnecessarily torn during proper extraction. Drawn combs thus remain in good condition and the bees can quickly reuse them once returned to the hive.

A practical feature is the conical sloped bottom. At its lowest point, there is a recessed welded-in stainless steel honey gate with a shear valve, allowing convenient honey draining. Honey flows out smoothly with no unnecessary residue left in the extractor tank.

Stability during operation is ensured by sturdy legs positioned to help dampen vibrations caused by uneven basket loading. The leg attachment is simple and solid, yet allows quick disassembly at the end of the season. This makes it easier to store the extractor even in smaller spaces.

Quick disassembly and easy cleaning

Maintenance of the honey extractor after the honey harvest is very easy thanks to the well-designed solution. The drive is mounted at the top on a heavy-duty stainless steel clamping bar, which also carries the wide hinges of the transparent Plexiglas lids. The bar is secured with only two star knob screws, so it can be easily removed together with the drive after loosening them. The basket rests freely at the bottom on a quality ball bearing, and after removing the top bar, it simply lifts out upward. Both the drum and the basket are thus ready for thorough rinsing and cleaning within moments.

Reliable manual drive with brake and freewheel

The honey extractor is equipped with a manual drive featuring a robust gearbox that ensures smooth operation without excessive effort. The ergonomic crank made of solid material fits comfortably in the hand and allows convenient control throughout the entire extraction process. Power is transmitted to the shaft via a precision gear set with a worm drive.

The worm gear also serves as an effective brake. A short turn of the crank in the opposite direction slows or completely stops the basket rotation, giving the beekeeper good control over the extraction process. The drive is additionally fitted with a safety freewheel. When the crank is released, the mechanism disengages, the crank stops turning, and the basket can coast to a stop by inertia. This significantly reduces the risk of hand injuries during operation.

Key advantages of the honey extractor

High yield without unnecessary effort: The conical sloped bottom with a recessed stainless steel honey gate helps drain honey conveniently down to the last drop.

Gentle handling of beeswax comb: The dense basket mesh prevents cutting into the combs and helps protect drawn combs from damage.

Hygienic and durable construction: Polished food-grade stainless steel with a thickness of 0.8–1 mm and smooth plasma welds facilitate cleaning and extend service life.

Safe operation: The manual drive is equipped with a brake and a freewheel that prevents unwanted spinning of the crank.

Stability and easy storage: Sturdy legs increase confidence during extraction and can be easily disassembled after the season.
