The top-of-the-range offering of our honey extractors. The Mellarius MaxiLine Honey Extractor is a guarantee of high quality and long service life. These extractors are manufactured from thicker stainless steel sheets (0.8 to 1 mm) and are equipped with heavy-duty legs that increase the stability of the extractor. Every Mellarius extractor in the MaxiLine version is equipped with a sloped bottom, thanks to which honey flows comfortably toward the honey gate. There is no need to tilt or further manipulate the extractor. A wide range of manual and electric extractors in tangential or radial variants.

Modern Design

Mellarius MaxiLine series honey extractors feature a modern design with detachable legs. The drum of the extractor is made of food-grade stainless steel of sufficient thickness (0.8 to 1 mm), so that unwanted dents cannot easily occur. The entire construction of the extractors is manufactured using plasma welding. During construction, emphasis is placed on smooth surfaces that are easy to clean.

The extractor baskets are manufactured with a denser mesh of stainless steel wires, which distributes the force on the comb over a larger area during extraction, preventing the wires from cutting into the beeswax comb. Round bars are used for the basket construction, which are resistant to twisting. Round surfaces without sharp edges are also easier to clean.

The extractors are fitted with an innovative conical bottom, into the lowest point of which a welded-in stainless steel honey gate with a guillotine valve is recessed. This ensures that all honey always drains completely from the extractor without any residue.

The leg system is also innovative – the legs are positioned and attached to the extractor to achieve maximum stability. The legs are made of heavy-duty material and their own weight contributes to stability during extraction. Thanks to a simple yet sturdy connection, the legs can be easily removed, making the entire extractor much more compact for storage until its next use.

Easy Disassembly

The drive system is always located in the upper part of the extractor, allowing for easy maintenance. Thanks to this design, the extractor basket rests freely at the bottom on a ball bearing. The drive is mounted on a clamping bar, which also holds wide hinges for the plexiglass covers. The clamping bar with the drive is sufficiently robust, again made of polished stainless steel material for easy maintenance. After removing the upper bar with the drive, which is secured by two star knob screws, the entire drive can be easily taken off. Just as easily, you can remove the entire basket from the extractor and conveniently clean both the extractor and the basket separately.

Proven Drive with Variable Speed Control

MaxiLine series extractors are fitted with a reliable electric motor with a sufficient power output of 110 W. These motors are equipped with their own fan for better cooling. The motor includes a robust manual continuously variable speed control system. The transfer of motor power to the extractor basket is provided by a mechanical gearbox for an optimal range of extraction speeds.

The motor allows speed variation and thus a change in the rotation direction of the entire basket, which increases comfort during extraction. Bees tend to build cells at a slight upward angle (4° to 5°) – so that the stored honey does not flow out, and moreover, honey stored this way provides a certain stability to the comb. For beekeepers, this is a disadvantage, because when a comb is placed in the extractor, the cells face one direction, and if this direction is against the direction of rotation, honey does not flow out well and some honey reserves may remain in the combs. Therefore, it is an advantage to have an extractor with bidirectional extraction capability.

The honey extractors are from official German distribution. Depending on warehouse availability, they are supplied with black or grey legs. The 110W motor is available in blue, red, or white finish.
