Mellarius MaxiLine D64 electric 5/10 frame honey extractor
Tangential honey extractor for five frames (or radial for ten frames) with 230 V electric drive with 110W power output. The basket width is 26 cm, making the extractor suitable for spinning most frame sizes. The extractor is made from polished stainless steel sheets, certified for food contact. Top-of-the-line model with conical bottom and many other innovative features.
About Mellarius MaxiLine Series Honey Extractors
The top-of-the-range offering in our honey extractors. The Mellarius MaxiLine Honey Extractor guarantees high quality and long service life. These extractors are manufactured from thicker stainless steel sheets (0.8 to 1 mm) and are equipped with heavy-duty legs that increase the stability of the extractor. Every Mellarius honey extractor in the MaxiLine version is equipped with a sloped bottom, thanks to which honey conveniently flows down to the honey gate. There is no need to tilt or further handle them. A wide range of manual and electric extractors in tangential or radial variants.
Modern Design
Mellarius MaxiLine series honey extractors feature a modern design with detachable legs. The drum of the extractor is made from food-grade stainless steel of sufficient thickness (0.8 to 1 mm), to prevent unwanted denting. The entire construction of the extractors is manufactured using plasma welding. The design emphasizes smooth surfaces that are easy to clean.
The extractor baskets are manufactured with a denser mesh of stainless steel wires, so that the force on the comb during spinning is distributed over a larger area, preventing the wires from cutting into the honeycomb. Round bars are used for basket production, which are resistant to twisting. Round surfaces without sharp edges are also easier to clean.
The extractors are fitted with an innovative conical bottom, into which a welded stainless steel honey gate with a guillotine valve is recessed at its lowest point. This ensures that all honey always drains completely from the extractor without any residue.
The leg system is also innovative – the legs are positioned and attached to the extractor to achieve maximum stability. The legs are made from heavy-duty material and their own weight contributes to stability during spinning. Thanks to a simple yet sturdy connection, the legs can be easily removed, making the entire extractor much more compact for storage until its next use.
Easy Disassembly
The drive system is always located in the upper part of the extractor, allowing for easy maintenance. Thanks to this design, the extractor basket is freely mounted at the bottom on a ball bearing. The drive is mounted on a clamping bar, which also features wide hinges for the plexiglass covers. The clamping bar with the drive is sufficiently robust, again made from polished stainless steel material for easy maintenance. After removing the upper bar with the drive, which is secured by two star knob screws, the entire drive can be easily taken off. Likewise, the entire basket can be easily removed from the extractor, allowing you to conveniently clean both the extractor and the basket separately.
Proven Drive with Variable Speed Control
The Maxima series extractors are fitted with a reliable electric motor with a sufficient power output of 110 W. These motors are equipped with their own fan for better cooling. The motor includes a robust manual continuously variable speed control system. The transfer of motor power to the extractor basket is provided by a mechanical gearbox for an optimal range of spinning speeds.
The motor allows speed variation and thus reversal of the rotation direction of the entire basket, which increases comfort during extraction. Bees tend to build cells at a slight upward angle (4° to 5°) – so that the stored honey does not flow out, and moreover, honey stored this way provides certain stability to the comb. For the beekeeper, this is a disadvantage, because when the comb is placed into the extractor, the cells face one direction, and if this direction is against the direction of rotation, honey flows out poorly and some honey reserves may remain in the combs. Therefore, it is advantageous to have an extractor with bidirectional spinning capability.
