Want your honey to be clean right when draining from the extractor? The double plastic strainer from the German supplier Heinrich Holtermann will help you with fast and hygienic filtration of freshly extracted honey. Thanks to the two-stage sieve, you can remove impurities in the very first step and prepare the honey for further processing.
How two-phase filtration works in one step
The strainer consists of two nested sieves that are used together – simply place them under the honey gate of the extractor or on top of a settling tank:

Upper coarse sieve (mesh 2 × 2 mm): catches larger wax residues, cappings, comb fragments, and any impurities from extraction.

Lower fine sieve (mesh 1 × 1 mm): filters out smaller particles and helps achieve greater honey clarity.

The strainer is made of durable food-grade plastic that is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for contact with honey. The smooth surface is also easy to maintain – after straining, simply rinse and clean it, ideally in lukewarm water.
The design includes handles for stable positioning (design may vary depending on the specific version). Thanks to these handles, the strainer sits securely on containers up to a diameter of 35 cm, so it does not shift during bottling and there is no risk of it slipping off.

Tip: For smooth workflow during extraction, it pays to have two strainers. You can continuously clean one of wax while leaving the other under the extractor.
