Langstroth Bee Hive - Polystyrene for 8 Frames
Practical and affordable Langstroth bee hive made of hardened polystyrene PS-E, which is suitable for outdoor use. Includes varroa bottom with screening and plastic slide-out drawer. Also high (original Langstroth - 232 mm) super, two shallow (2/3 Langstroth - 159 mm), practical top feeder and high cover. Everything made of hardened polystyrene, which has the best insulation properties of the materials used. All components have rebates (locks), thanks to which they fit together and the hive assembly is then very stable. Supers have grips, which serve as handles, thanks to which the supers are easy to handle. Supers are equipped with practical plastic strips at the contact point of frames with supers, so there is no accidental damage.
Practical, large feeder solves feeding problems. In one filling it holds up to 8 liters of sugar syrup (invert), the feeder is also made of hardened polystyrene, so it is light and easy to handle. It has a practical slope to the lowest point, where the bee entrance is located. The bee entrance is covered with a transparent plastic cover, so bees cannot drown in the liquid and at the same time do not come into contact with the beekeeper (they won't fly out after opening the cover). The feeder is simply placed on the last super, then you put the cover back on the feeder. Can be used only during feeding season, or can be left on the hive all year - thanks to its weight it does not interfere.
Never again problems with space. All polystyrene supers from our offer are delivered in disassembled state. You simply assemble them from 4 parts (two long sides and two short sides). Individual parts simply fit together, the super can be assembled without using any tools (or you can help yourself with e.g. a rubber mallet). Likewise, supers can be disassembled again, so they don't take up so much space. Joints do not need to be glued with anything. The hive itself does not need to be painted or otherwise surface treated. The weight of the entire hive (without frames and feeder) does not exceed 5 kg, with feeder then 6 kg. The weight of individual supers is around 1 kg, so they are suitable for easy handling.
