Queen (Royal) Excluder – High-Quality Cast Yellow Plastic 500 × 500 mm

Queen excluder made of rigid cast yellow plastic is a practical tool for managing bee colonies in hive bodies with supers. It is made from food-grade plastic and with a thickness of approximately 1.9–2.0 mm, it maintains the necessary strength even with long-term use.

The excluder is placed between the brood chamber and the honey super, where it reliably prevents the queen from entering the honey supers. This prevents brood from being laid in the honey super and keeps the frames intended for extraction purely for honey. We offer excluders in multiple sizes – you can select your variant below the images, the price varies according to size (the listed price is for the smallest version). If needed, the excluder can be easily trimmed to the exact internal dimensions of the hive, while remaining stable and strong.

Benefits for Beekeepers: Clean Honey Super and Faster Honey Harvest

If you want to have a honey super without brood, the queen excluder is one of the most reliable solutions. Separating the queen in the brood chamber means fewer complications during honey harvest, easier frame sorting, and smoother extraction. At the same time, the colony is not unnecessarily disturbed by repeated rearranging of supers due to searching for and moving the queen.

Rounded Edges for Safe Bee Passage

The excluder is cast and dimensionally precise, with a smooth surface and rounded hole edges. This helps reduce the risk of wing damage during passage, and bees pass through the excluder smoothly even during heavy nectar flow.

Why Cast Plastic

Plastic queen excluders are popular for easy maintenance and operational comfort. Compared to metal variants, they don't cool as much during temperature fluctuations and the smooth material is easy to clean from wax and propolis. Another advantage is the possibility of quick size adjustment (knife, scissors) without the excluder breaking or warping.
