Beekeeping Protective Veil

Beekeeping protective veil is a practical tool that protects the face and neck from bee stings when working at the hives. It is made from lightweight, well-breathable tulle (fine mesh), which maintains comfort even during warm days. The veil can be easily used with any head covering – you can put it over a cap, hat, or straw hat. For the best protection, we recommend combining the veil with a beekeeping smock and safely tucking the bottom edge under the collar.

Why you can't do without a veil at the apiary

A sense of security is essential when handling bee colonies – and protection of sensitive areas such as the face, ears, and neck significantly contributes to this. Stings in these areas are usually very painful and in more sensitive individuals can lead to significant swelling or allergic reactions. The airy tulle promotes air circulation, so you will appreciate the veil especially during summer inspections or when removing supers.
