Reliable Seal Check Thanks to the Vacuum Button

The lids are fitted with an RSB safety button, also known as a vacuum button or "pop-up indicator." This feature makes it easy to verify whether the jar is properly sealed. After cooling, the centre of the lid is drawn inward, indicating that a vacuum has been created. Upon first opening, a characteristic "pop" is heard, confirming to the customer that the packaging is intact and the contents have been properly sealed.

Suitable for Pasteurisation and More Demanding Sterilisation

Unlike standard pasteurisation lids typically rated up to 100 °C, this model is designed for heat resistance up to 121 °C. It is therefore suitable not only for honey but also for honey specialities with additions such as nuts or fruit, and for other food products that require pressure sterilisation. The high-quality ACTEGA sealing compound ensures a firm and airtight seal, helps protect the contents from moisture and foreign odours, and contributes to preserving the high quality of bee products.

Product Specifications

For the best adhesion of the sealing layer, we recommend briefly warming the lids in warm water at approximately 40–50 °C before use. The sealing compound will soften and seat better on the jar neck, helping to achieve a reliable seal and long shelf life for honey and other bee products.
