Reliable Seal Verification with a Vacuum Safety Button
The lids feature an RSB profile with a safety dome, also known as a vacuum button or clip. After proper sealing and cooling of the contents, the center of the lid is drawn inward, confirming that a vacuum has been created. Upon first opening, the lid clicks audibly, allowing the customer to easily verify that the jar has not been previously opened.
Suitable for Pasteurization and Sterilization
The Steril variant is designed to withstand temperatures up to 121 °C (250 °F). It is therefore suitable not only for standard honey filling but also for honey specialties with nuts, fruit, or other preserved products that require higher heat resistance. Before use, we recommend briefly warming the lids in warm water at approximately 40–50 °C (104–122 °F). This softens the sealing layer, allowing it to conform better to the jar rim, which helps achieve a reliable seal and extended shelf life of the filled product.
