Universal stainless steel mouse guard - 42 mm
Fits over the entrance to prevent mice from entering while still allowing bees full access.
Entrance Guard – Mouse Excluder Grid
Give your bee colony a peaceful and safe overwintering. The stainless steel entrance guard reliably prevents mice, shrews and other small rodents from entering the hive. Especially in winter, rodents seek warmth and food – if they get inside, they cause stress to the bees, damage the comb and can endanger the entire colony. With this grid you will significantly reduce the risk.
Proven Opening Size for Proper Hive Operation
The grid has openings with a height of 8 mm – a dimension that is proven in beekeeping practice. It keeps rodents out, while not preventing bees from taking cleansing flights in spring or removing dead bees. Thanks to the entrance permeability, ventilation is maintained, which helps reduce moisture and subsequent mold formation during the winter months.
Stainless Steel, Long Lifespan and Easy Modification
The guard is made of high-quality stainless steel, which resists corrosion and withstands demanding outdoor conditions. The standard length is 50 cm, you can choose the height according to your hive type and entrance height. If necessary, the grid can be easily shortened with ordinary tin snips. Installation is quick and without unnecessary complications.
