Annual Bee Mix Type 2 - 1 Package (1 kg)
Ensure your bee colonies have a rich, diverse and long-lasting nectar flow with our premium annual honey plant mix. This carefully composed seed mix is designed to meet the needs of bees and other pollinators from summer through autumn, when natural sources in the landscape become scarce. With a seeding rate of 20 kg per hectare, this 1kg package will easily cover an area of 500 m². You will not only get vital and strong colonies, but also naturally improve the quality and structure of your soil.

Why is this mix an ideal choice for your bees?
The fundamental benefit for you as a beekeeper is maximizing honey yield and supporting colony health. The diversity of flowers guarantees a continuous supply of nectar and quality pollen with high protein content, which is crucial for raising a strong winter generation of bees. The selected plant species also loosen the soil with their deep roots, function as excellent green manure (fixing atmospheric nitrogen) and naturally suppress unwanted weed growth. Your plot will transform into a buzzing oasis full of life.
Detailed composition and profile of individual plants
Phacelia (30%): Rightfully nicknamed the "queen of honey plants". Phacelia forms the basis of this mix because it produces an extreme amount of highly sugary nectar and dark blue pollen. It grows very quickly, reliably suppresses weeds, and its purple flowers are irresistible to bees for weeks on end.
Crimson Clover - Incarnate (20%): A beautifully flowering herb that is an excellent source of easily accessible nectar and quality pollen for bees. As a legume, it also enriches the soil with nitrogen. Its dark red inflorescence is a distinctive element of every beekeeping meadow.
White Mustard (15%): This plant excels in its rapid development. Soon after sowing, it creates a dense stand full of yellow flowers. It provides bees with abundant pollen and nectar flow, significantly supporting the queen's egg-laying and overall colony dynamics.
Red Clover (10%): A traditional forage crop valued for its highly nutritious pollen. Although the nectar is stored somewhat deeper, bees visit it abundantly on warm days. It helps maintain soil moisture and provides shelter for beneficial insects.
White Sweet Clover (10%): One of the very best nectar-producing plants, capable of producing nectar even during summer drought periods thanks to its deep root system. Honey from sweet clover is very light and has a pleasant, slightly vanilla aroma.
Common Vetch (10%): A climbing plant that uses other plants in the mix for support. For beekeepers, it is interesting not only for its large flowers, but especially for the production of extrafloral (extra-flower) nectar on stipules, which bees eagerly collect even when the plant is not in full bloom.
Black Medick (5%): A smaller but very undemanding and drought-resistant plant. Its small yellow flowers offer nectar and pollen for a very long time and excellently densify the lower layer of the sown stand.
