Bee Escape - Clearer Board between Zander Supers - 8 exits
Bee escape in a frame for Zander beehive. The escape frame consists of a wooden outer frame (42x52 cm) joined at corners with tenon joints and glued with waterproof adhesive, with a high-density fiberboard (HDF) inserted into a groove in the outer frame.
In the center of the HDF board is a circular hole for the bee escape with a diameter of 78 mm allowing bees access to the escape device.
Place the escape board under the honey super, for example, in the evening before honey harvesting, instead of the queen excluder.
Orient it with the narrowed passages pointing downward, with the circular opening facing upward toward the honey super. Close the hive entrance from the front of the supers.
During the actual honey harvesting, the honey supers will already be free of bees. Bees can pass through this escape in only one direction, so they gradually all move down to the brood chamber. During one night, most bees will manage to return to the brood chamber. The bee escape will make your work easier during honey harvesting, as you will no longer need to laboriously brush bees off the frames you want to extract.
