Galvanized Metal Cover for Beehive - Zander

Metal cover for Zander hive. Nice metal cover for outdoor use made of galvanized sheet metal. The metal cover with a height of 5 cm is designed for the Zander hive from our range. It extends approximately 1 cm beyond the hive wall when placed on the super. The covers are made of ordinary galvanized sheet metal, therefore we recommend applying some additional surface treatment such as a protective coating, otherwise corrosion may occur. It is necessary to place a crown board film and some insulation material such as felt or polystyrene between the metal cover and the super. This is especially important during the summer period to prevent the hives from overheating.

Covers are supplied without insulation.
