Digital Refractometer for Alcohol Measurement (0–80%) – Precise Control for Beekeeping Products

Take your bee product processing to the next level. This portable digital refractometer in pocket design is a practical helper for beekeepers who, in addition to honey, also produce mead or propolis tincture. The device measures alcohol content based on the principle of light refraction and, thanks to the built-in microprocessor, displays the result within seconds with accuracy you can rely on.

Use in Beekeeping Practice

Traditional hydrometers tend to be fragile, harder to read, and often require a larger sample volume. A digital refractometer is a more convenient solution that saves both material and time. It is especially suitable for:

1. Propolis Tincture Preparation: Propolis is best macerated in high-proof alcohol (usually 60–80%). With a refractometer, you can easily check the alcohol concentration before use and during preparation to achieve stable quality and tincture effectiveness.

2. Mead and Other Honey Beverage Control: For mead, alcohol content is important for taste, recipe repeatability, and proper aging and storage. Precise measurement helps you maintain consistently identical results over time.

Technology That Simplifies Measurement

Forget about complicated scale reading against light. The refractometer is designed for measuring alcohol in the range of 0 to 80% and clearly displays the measured value on a digital display.

A significant advantage is automatic temperature compensation (ATC). Because liquid properties change with temperature, conventional instruments may show inaccurate readings. This model automatically recalculates the result according to ambient temperature in the range of 0 to 40°C, so you can measure directly in the workshop, honey house, or in the field without additional calculations.
