This plastic top feeder with an approximate capacity of 7 litres is suitable for Langstroth and Tachov hives. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, it is ideal for administering sugar syrup as well as invert feed during autumn feeding of bee colonies or spring stimulative feeding.
Safe feed intake without unnecessary bee losses
When feeding with liquid feed, a common problem is bees drowning in the open surface of the syrup. This top feeder is therefore equipped with a plastic cover over the feeding access, which prevents bees from entering the feed directly. Bees take up the syrup only from a designated area, which significantly reduces the risk of drowning and ensures calmer and safer feeding. The 7-litre capacity also reduces the need for frequent refilling, so you disturb the colony less and work in the apiary is faster and more convenient.

Although the feeder is designed primarily for Langstroth and Tachov hive systems, its width also fits well in hives with the popular Czech frame size 39 × 24. The remaining space along the length can simply be covered with a board, a strip of hardboard, or another suitable partition, and you can conveniently use the feeder in these hives as well without any costly modifications.
