Plastic Top Feeder for Langstroth and Tachov Hives (capacity approx. 7 l)

Provide your bee colonies with calm and reliable feeding without unnecessary interventions in the hive. The top feeder with a capacity of approximately 7 liters is designed to save beekeepers time and trips to the apiary – the large volume allows you to provide a larger portion of feed at once, thereby reducing the frequency of refilling. It is particularly well-suited for late summer and autumn feeding, when it is necessary to quickly and safely supplement winter stores with sugar syrup or liquid invert.

Safe Feeding Without Drowned Bees

When feeding liquid feed, the greatest risk is drowning bees. With this feeder, access to the syrup is solved practically and safely: the feeding opening is covered with a plastic cover that allows bees to collect the feed while effectively preventing them from falling into the liquid. Simply fill the feeder and leave it with the colony without worrying about unnecessary losses.

For Langstroth and Tachov, Also Usable with 39x24

The feeder is designed primarily for Langstroth hive systems and Tachov hives. Installation is simple – place it on the hive (for example, in the inner cover space) or in an empty super using a hardboard partition. Due to its dimensions, many beekeepers also use it with 39x24 frame size: it usually fits widthwise, and the free space lengthwise can be easily covered with a board, strip of hardboard, or other partition.

Note on Material

To ensure the feeder can hold the higher weight of liquid feed without deforming, it is made of harder plastic. This ensures good strength and stability, but it should be noted that with rough handling (impact, dropping on a hard surface) it may be more susceptible to cracking. We therefore recommend careful handling during transport and work at the apiary.
