Plastic cap on 4 l glass - 80 holes
Plastic caps for 4 liters glasses. You can use it as cheap feeder.
Universal plastic lids for 4l jars: practical feeding and stimulation of bees
Proper feeding at the right time determines the strength of the colony and how it will enter the next season. Universal plastic lids for common four-liter jars (so-called pickle jars) are a simple yet very effective tool for feeding sugar syrup and spring stimulation. Thanks to the vacuum (seepage) principle, bees have continuous access to feed and you have control over feed intake - according to current needs throughout the beekeeping year.
Three variants for different situations at the apiary
It's not just about closing the jar. The perforation of the lid directly determines the speed of syrup uptake, and thus the way the colony reacts. Choose one of three variants from the product menu:
1. Lid with 16 holes (stimulative): Suitable for spring development and gentle stimulation. Lower flow rate mimics weaker nectar flow, bees are active, but the feed doesn't overwhelm them. Brood support proceeds without risk of bees "flooding" the brood nest.
2. Lid with 80 holes (feeding): Designed for rapid replenishment of stores - typically during autumn feeding. Bees take up the syrup in a shorter time, process it more easily and cap it in time before cooling.
3. Solid lid (closing): Practical for safe transport of syrup to the apiary and for storage. Reliably seals the jar and prevents leakage of sticky feed during handling.
Durable material, tightness and repeated use
The lids are made of solid food-grade plastic, making them safe for bees and for working with feed. They fit well on the neck of standard 4l jars, reducing the risk of syrup leakage and subsequent robbing. After use, simply wash them and you can use them repeatedly; if needed, they can also be disinfected with common beekeeping agents to limit mold growth and transfer of unwanted microorganisms.

Technical specifications
| Parameter | Specification |
| Purpose | Standard 4 liter jars (Omnia/pickle jar type) |
| Material | Food-grade plastic (durable, washable) |
| Variants | Solid (no holes), 16 holes (stimulation), 80 holes (feeding) |
| Feeding principle | Seepage (vacuum) |
| Maintenance | Washable, chemical disinfection possible |
| Color | According to current stock availability (most commonly yellow/white) |
Tip: It pays to have multiple types in stock. You'll use solid lids for transporting syrup and at the apiary you can quickly exchange them for perforated ones - depending on whether you're currently stimulating or replenishing winter stores.
