The lids are designed for pasteurization processes up to 105 °C, making them suitable for common canning of fruits, vegetables, and ready-made products. After opening, the jar can be conveniently re-closed with the lid for short-term storage in the refrigerator. For new canning, we always recommend using a new, undamaged lid.
Recommendations for Use
For the best results, briefly warm the lid in warm water before placing it on the jar. The sealing compound will soften and seat better on the clean and undamaged rim of the jar. After canning, always check that the lid holds properly and the contents do not leak.
