Entrance Guard – Mouse Excluder Grid
In autumn and winter, protecting the hive entrance is among the most important steps for trouble-free wintering of bee colonies. Mice and shrews seek warmth and easily accessible food in hives – they can damage combs, spoil stores, and disturb the winter cluster with their movement. The stainless steel entrance guard reliably prevents rodents from entering the hive and helps keep bees calm throughout the winter.
Durable Stainless Steel and Easy Hive Adaptation
The guard is made of high-quality stainless steel, which withstands moisture and weather conditions well and does not corrode. The grid has a length of 500 mm and is designed so that the 8 mm high openings allow workers and drones to pass through without problems, but mice cannot get through the entrance. If needed, it can be easily shortened with ordinary tin snips, so you can easily adapt it to your specific entrance type.
